SENATE
OF THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT

SUPES Senate is the supreme collective governing body, which is composed of scientific and didactic and non-didactic staff, in conformity with the frame Regulation approved by the Ministry of Education, is elected for a period of 5 years, simultaneously with the rector's mandate period.
The Senate has the following competencies and obligations:
-elaborates and approves the University Charter;
-approves the Plan of strategical development of SUPES;
-approves the university budget;
-elaborates and approves the methodologies and regulations of organizing activities and academic and scientific programs, as well as methodologies and regulations of recruitment, engagement, and evaluation of the teaching staff;
-ensures to respect the principle of academic freedom and of university autonomy;
-approves organizational and functional structure of SUPES;
-elaborates and approves the Regulation regarding the election procedure of SUPES rector in conformity with the frame Regulation approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research;
-confirms, without the right of modification, the members' list of SUPES Strategical Development Council;
-approves the programs of improvement and mobility of scientific and didactic staff by means of ERASMUS projects;
-establishes partnerships between SUPES and specific business areas in the domain of physical culture and sport, education, and scientific research.
The Senate is headed by the rector of the university.
The Senate is approved by order No. 65 of 02.12.2019, and it constitutes of the following members:
