The educational policy in the Republic of Moldova is oriented towards the formation of active, responsible, competent citizens who respect national and universal values.
The quality management strategy of SUPES is concerned with providing good education and realization of the main objective - the formation and development of a complex, open, autonomous and flexible personality that is able to adapt to innovative changes.
In this context, educational activities are aimed at the development of such students' skills as creative learning, mutual learning participation, efficient communication, self-control and self-esteem in the era of change. The need for self-government is obvious and topical, it involves the effective educational management.
Proceeding from this fundamental objective, at the beginning of every academic year, the disciplinary educational Commission of SUPES elaborates the plan of educational activity with students. The plan is oriented towards a qualitative transformation of personality.
The most important general objectives are:
-to form self-awareness, self evaluation and self-education capacities;
-to form the sense of responsibility for keeping in excellent condition the goods of the university;
-to form a system of fundamental values with emphasis on morality, scientific truth and beauty;
-to stimulate the process of professional and social adaptation/integration of students;
-to form the attitudes of acquisition of basic scientific knowledge in the subjects from the curriculum;
-to form the tendency of continuous study;
-to form the receptivity (sensibility) to the systematic approach of the problems of the natural, social, psychic, (psychosocial) environment etc.;
-to form and cultivate civic attitudes and skills of preventing and solving conflicts;
-to form assertive communication;
-to form psychophysical, theoretical and practical consciousness.
In the context of carrying out some innovative educational policies at the national level, in the recent years the formal and non- formal activity has become the primordial concern of our institution.
The true image of sport is created by the society itself that puts together the major concerns; educational, economic, cultural, ideological, scientific, defence and public order, completing an approach that recognizes its value. The essence of sport is represented by the competitive spirit that has developed historically during the evolution of the society and through which the physical performance, intelligence and creative ability were compared. The practice of sport at different ages, places it among the most accessible forms of education, but also as an important health factor. Institutional strategy on the development of sports activities regards the:
-sports participation - increasing the number of practitioners for each branch of sport;
-athletic performance - development of the competitive spirit and fair play, organization of competitions in order to stimulate the increase of high performance athletes;
-sporting excellence - promoting outstanding results achieved by students at the university sports competitions;
-human resources - increasing and improvement of specialists in the field;
-volunteering - involvement of youth and former performers in volunteer activities;
- proper functioning of the university's sports centers, as well as through partnerships development.
For the future, the Education and Sports subdivision aims to continue its work to achieve the objectives outlined and carry out specific actions to strengthen education and sport in SUPES.
